Seamless Panel/Module View

One of DLS's great new features is the blending of all options on the system into one file. This means that all options pertaining to an area of programming can be grouped together logically. No more browsing through separate module files to find related options. No more bouncing around inside a panel file to program related options. It's now all in one place.

Notice the Seamless Panel/Module View in these sections:

Zones - All these options grouped together:

  • Zone Definition
  • Zone Label
  • Wireless Zone Serial Number


Users - All these options grouped together

  • User Code
  • User Label
  • Opening/closing Reporting Code for that User


Common Sections

The workfile is typically organized into the following sections:

Users

The Users section is where the various programming regarding the user codes and access cards is located. This section will include the user codes, any user attributes, as well as any reporting codes associated with those users.

Partitions

The partitions section contains all of the programming which is particular to a specific partition. This contains your partition times (entry delay, exit delay, etc.), and account codes, as well as the ability to check a partitions statuses (arm, disarm, alarm, etc.).

Zones

This section contains all of the relevant zone programming for the panel. This includes, but is not limited to; zone definitions, attributes, reporting codes, as well as wireless zone serial numbers.

Event Schedule

The event scheduling section contains various sections relating to automatically occurring events. This section contains the auto-arming programming, no activity arming, holiday schedules, etc.

Communications

The communications section is where you will find all of the programming regarding the panels communications. Some important programming in the communications area is the monitoring station telephone number, communications format, reporting codes, and all of the various communications toggles.

System

The system section contains various system options. This includes the installer options, system times, system toggles, etc.

DLS

The DLS section contains all of the panels programming regarding the DLS software. This includes the downloading computer phone number, double call timer, and the various DLS toggles.

PGMs

This section is where you will find all of the various programming pertaining to the panels programmable outputs. This includes the output times, timers, and attributes.

Event Buffer

The Event Buffer section is where you will go to view the panels event buffer. This section allows you to upload the buffer from the panel as well as view or export the information.

Status

The status section will display a system status (which modules are enrolled and if they have any troubles), partition status (which partitions are active, and their current status), and zone status (your zones and if any are open/in alarm).
