The SMS connection type relies on the SIM number as the unique account identifier. In order to successfully execute an SMS connection job, the SIM number must be a perfect match.

The SIM number is critical, and can be difficult to obtain.

For example: In some cases, SIM cards do NOT have the entire SIM number printed on the front.

Important Facts:

ALL SIM Numbers start with 89. If the number on the front of the SIM does not start with 89, it is NOT the entire SIM number.

SIM numbers can range in length up to 20 digits.

Recommended Actions:

ALWAYS record the entire SIM number with the account documentation

Guarantee accuracy by using DLS IV to automatically read the SIM number. Use a PC-Link connection to upload the SIM number while on-site.
