There are a few different ways that you can connect to a panel.
PSTN
PC-Link
IP (T-Link)
Global Upload
Selecting the "Global Upload" option will upload the entire panel to your software. After selecting "Global Upload" a window will appear with 3 tabs: Basic, Options, Comments.
The "Basic" tab gives you options to change connection type, DLS Access Code, Panel ID Code, whether to upload the event buffer, and if you would like to auto-detect modules. You can also select the option to override the default connection type with PC-Link. This will simply change the default connection from PSTN (modem) to PC-Link. There is also an option to automatically hang up after the Global Upload has finished.
The "Options" tab lets you change some settings for the connection.
The "Comments" tab
Global Download
Selecting the "Global Download" option will download all of the information from the software into the panel.
